چکیده

Abstract Background The hepatitis B virus (HBV) is one of the leading causes acute, chronic and occult (OBI) representing a serious public health threat. Cytokines are known to be important chemical mediators that regulate differentiation, proliferation function immune cells. Accumulating evidence indicate inadequate responses responsible for HBV persistency. aim this study were investigate cytokines IFN-?, TNF-?, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10 IL-17A in patients with OBI verify if there an association between levels these determination clinical courses during infection. Methods 114 C investigated through serological molecular tests, coinfected subjected test using commercial human CBA kit. As controls, ten healthy donors no history liver disease 10 monoinfected similar age selected. Results Among HCV investigated, 11 individuals had B. heterogeneous groups, most showed higher production detection among OBI/HCV when compared control group pacients. We found high level group, IL-10, IL-4 IL-2 patients. Conclusion These could involved persistence DNA hepatocytes triggers constant response, inducing continuous inflammation, which can accelerate damage favor development cirrhosis other diseases.

The Absence of Hepatitis C Virus Infection Among Patients with Hepatitis B virus in Mashhad, Iran

Background and Aims: Many studies have provided evidence for the role of hepatitis B and C viruses in the development of liver cancer. Although the routine treatment is available for both conditions, no definite guideline is available to treat patients dually infected with HBV and HCV. This study was performed to determine the frequency of HBV/HCV-coinfection in Mashhad, North-East of Iran. Mat...

Clinical significance of occult hepatitis B virus infection in chronic hepatitis C patients

BACKGROUND/AIMS We investigated the frequency of occult hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV)-positive individuals and the effects of occult HBV infection on the severity of liver disease. METHODS Seventy-one hepatitis B virus surface-antigen (HBsAg)-negative patients were divided according to their HBV serological status into groups A (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs ...
